Beautiful pair of antique Imari-style porcelain condiment pots, dating to the late Meiji or early Taisho period, circa 1900. Each piece features a hand-painted floral motif in the traditional Imari palette of cobalt blue, iron red, and gold over white glaze. The set includes a salt shaker with a pierced metal lid and a mustard pot with a hinged lid and spoon slot.
These petite condiment jars are crafted with faceted porcelain bodies and mounted with silver-toned metal lids topped with a pointed finial. One lid retains a working hinge mechanism. The underside of one pot is hand-numbered in red, typical of early export ware.
A charming and decorative duo, perfect for collectors of Japanese porcelain, Imari ware, or antique tableware.
