This elegant Russian 84 silver cream jug is a superb example of early 20th-century Imperial craftsmanship. Made around 1908–1917, it features a beautifully spiraled fluted body, a scalloped rim, and a graceful scroll handle. The footed circular base adds classic balance to its refined form. Crafted from high-grade 84 zolotnik silver (875/1000 purity), this jug combines beauty with functionality, making it a rare collector’s item.
The cream jug is clearly hallmarked with the Russian kokoshnik mark — a right-facing woman’s profile with the number “84,” confirming it was assayed in Moscow or a provincial region during the 1908–1917 imperial hallmarking system. The maker’s initials “HM” (НМ in Cyrillic) are also present, though the silversmith remains unidentified.
This piece is perfect for collectors of antique Russian silver, lovers of tea service traditions, or those who appreciate the quality and elegance of pre-Revolution imperial design.
