Descriptions

Hand-cast yellow-brass tripod censer with removable pierced lid topped by a spirited shíshī (Buddhist lion) finial. High-relief five-clawed dragons coil round the shoulders while two openwork dragon handles rise from the rim; wave and thunder-scroll engraving decorates the body. A four-character 乾隆年製 (Qianlong nian zhi) reign mark is cast in a sunken square on the base—an apocryphal homage typical of late-Qing / early-Republic export bronzes (circa 1890-1925). Lovely mellow patina with traces of turquoise Verdigris in recesses; no holes or missing elements, only the expected casting seams and minor age spotting.
