Descriptions

Charming miniature Japanese porcelain vase in the Kutani style, dating to the early Showa period, circa 1930s. The vase features a delicate hand-painted scene of two geisha figures relaxing beneath wisteria vines, surrounded by detailed floral patterns. The reverse shows a finely outlined landscape with traditional architecture and Mount Fuji in the distance.

This piece showcases fine linework paired with bright enamel washes in blue, yellow, green, and iron-red tones. The tapered form and reddish-brown shoulder accent complete its balanced design. Unmarked to base but consistent with Japanese export ware of the pre-WWII period.

A beautiful and collectible example of hand-painted Japanese miniature porcelain, ideal for collectors of geisha motifs and early 20th-century export ceramics.
